The Boat'Ouse that Rocked!
MORE than 400 people attended our mini-music festival at the Boathouse at Bradford Marina, raising an incredible £2,626!
The musical event was held over two evenings on the 31st May & 1st June, at the Boathouse pub and restauran . It was an extremely enjoyable weekend and the lovely weather was a great bonus, which really added to the festival feeling.
The Trowbridge Branch would like to say a huge thank you to all who performed, and to everyone who came along to enjoy the array of music on offer. Local promoter Mark Green brought together 12 local bands and a choir with more than 40 singers. Acts included
Friday night: The Decades, Lix’n’Stix, Rhythm Coalition, Night in the Blind House and Alec Stansfield.
Saturday night: In the Shadows of Santana, Fortunate Sons, Stamp, Band with no Name, Folk Lift Truck, Dave Vigar & Julian Sims and Will Blake & Choir. Frank Clewitt, Tom Pace and Tim Adams also providing entertaining during the bank change overs.
Local businesses donated prizes for a raffle which raised £900, with the rest of the money coming from the sale of tickets for the event.
We are hopeful this could become an annual event - watch this space!
