With fantastic support from the local community Trowbridge Committee has had a really successful 12 months. Our thanks to everyone who sent donations for the Positron Scanner Appeal or organised an event. Whether large or small each is equally important to us but four large amounts totalling £33,000 enabled us to present a cheque for £70,000 to the Trustees at the 2015 Presentation Evening in May. Westbury Man supports the BCUSG Scanner Appeal

On the 19th February, Tino Polledri was presented with a cheque for £2,000 from Derek Ward, to be added to the Bath Cancer Unit Support Group’s current Positron Scanner Appeal. Derek, from Chalford in Westbury, who was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in March 2014, had his head and beard shaved off as part of a fundraising evening held at The Bell at Chalford on the 1st November 2014. CURES THE SUNDAY EVENING BLUES AND RAISES MONEY FOR SCANNER APPEAL On Sunday 22 February, Bath Cancer Unit Support Group (BCUSG) held a comedy night at Leigh Park Community Centre, in Westbury, to raise funds for their Positron Scanner appeal.
