I’m pleased to report that I think the message is getting around locally about the BCUSG Positron CT Scanner Appeal. We began the year by inviting local groups and businesses to Bruschetta Restaurant in April when Stewart Reman gave an excellent presentation about the benefits of having this Scanner at the RUH. If there are any Clubs looking for a Speaker on their Programme invite Stewart along and you will not be disappointed. The publicity leaflet which we hand out at all Store Collections and Table Sales has brought some response and our...

Death of Trustee Gill Morris

Gill Morris, who for 25 years was affectionately known throughout the RUH as the wig lady, passed away on 5th May 2013. Throughout her career Gill had helped hundreds of women to overcome the trauma of losing their hair either during treatment for cancer or whilst suffering from alopecia. Gill retired from her position when her own breast cancer returned four years ago and she had to undergo a double mastectomy. Although Gill lost her hair during her chemo sessions she was always able to put on a happy front and at this time became a Trustee...
