Author Of Recipe Book Raises £5,500 for BCUSG

Life long fund raiser Janet Buckley of Upper Vobster had been persuaded to write a recipe book by her children Daniel and Charlotte whilst undergoing chemotherapy at the Royal United Hospital. Janet spent hours sifting through scrapbooks and recipes which she had collected over many years in order to compile the cookery book which is entitled “These Are A Few of My Favourite Things”. I speak of a stalwart of the Trowbridge Fund Raising branch of the Bath Cancer Unit Support Group, namely Robin Dallimore. Robin joined the Trowbridge branch in 1988, the year of its formation and has served on its committee ever since and now at 70 years of age and because of health and personal problems he has now decided to step back from his committee role. Another half year another Report on the activities of Trowbridge Committee. Where does the time go? I suppose the most satisfying thing to report was handing over a cheque for £20,000 at the Presentation Evening in May which considering the current economic climate is a tribute not just to Trowbridge committee members but to all our supporters.
