E-mail:- jc@bcusg.org Our Chairman - since 1997 - John Carter, has been associated with the Support Group since 1985. He was appointed a trustee at the first Annual general Meeting and was elected Vice Chairman in 1989. John arrived in Bath in 1950 and apart from a short spell in Gloucester he has lived in the city ever since. John an accountant also has the distinction of being a rugby commentator for Bath Hospital Radio and was in fact in Bordeaux when Bath became European champions in 1998. Honorary Secretary Position vacant as Carol Williams stepped down at the AGM in May 2007. E-mail: info@bcusg.org Position vacant as Tom Travers who was appointed as our Honorary Treasurer at the last AGM in May 2005 stepped down in 2007. Tom took over from Tony Newman who served the charity with distinction for over twenty years in which time he only missed one meeting. BCUSG are most grateful for Tom taking over this important and busy role for two years. Tony Newman remains as one of the Trustees. Harlech kindly agreed to become President in 1998.
She has a week-end home near Bath, where she enjoys 'long week-ends' on a regular basis. Lady Harlech is Chair of the English National Ballet and among her previous appointments, she was London Editor of American (Vogue), Food Editor, British (Vogue); Commissioning Editor, Thames & Hudson publishers; a Member of the Arts Council of Great Britain, she was also a trustee of the V.&.A. museum and a Council member for the Association of Business Sponsorship for the Arts. Among her publications are; 'Feast without Fuss' and 'Vogue Book of Menus'. In 'Who's Who, she lists her recreations as music, cooking and laughing.
