Coffee Morning in Paulton

When cancer patient Brian Harrington and his wife Janet decided to raise some money for the BCUSG Positron scanner appeal they hoped that their coffeeHusband and wife handing over presentation cheque to Trustees morning would generate a few pounds.

Prior to one of Brian’s regular check-up at The RUH Brian handed over to BCUSG Chairman of Trustees John Carter a cheque for £550.00.

Janet explained that thirty friends had been invited to their home in Paulton to a coffee morning on 7 December and at that event everyone decided not to give each other Christmas presents but instead to donate the savings to the appeal.

Brian wanted to say thank you to all the staff of the RUH cancer unit for the wonderful treatment which he had received and what better way than to raise money towards to PET-CT scanner appeal which will prevent patients from having to travel to Cheltenham said Janet.
